So, my first winter training week has passed. I sort of followed the schedule:
Monday- Run/Swim- Didn’t work out
Tuesday Bike/Strength Train- Spinning
Wednesday Run/Swim- Ran around the park (it was COOOLD, but a good run)
Thursday Bike/Strength Train- Spinning
Friday Run/Swim- Elliptical (I felt kind of sick, so I’m glad I got there at all)
Saturday Off- Ran and Swum!
Sunday Bike- New Running/Stair Stepper/Elliptical machine
So, really the only day I stuck to the plan was Saturday doing Monday’s workout. It felt good too, especially to get back in the pool again.
I’m just glad I worked out the amount I was supposed to, when you sit around doing a lot of nothing it is actually harder (for me) to get to the gym on a consistent schedule.
I’ll try to stick to it more next week, although swimming when I’m in NH will probably not happen unless I join the Polar Bears.
